Studio A
Overview
If you weren't sure where we got the name Blackbird, you'll figure it out pretty quickly in this Beatles- inspired studio. A throw back to the early days of recording with all of the comforts and technology of a modern studio, this space offers the best of both worlds and features 11 different recording areas including a variable Hidley-designed chamber with an adjustable ceiling to customize reverb time. The control room is set up with the finest NEVE 8078 on the planet. All equipment within the four walls is included in the price – no surprises. A private lounge, three bathrooms, and a kitchen give you plenty of room to relax. And, if you have a chance, check out the inscription on the piano room floor. It was the main room of the original studio. This room is the home of many incredible country music hits from the 70s and 80s!

Studio B
Overview
With red fabric walls and cherry floors, this room offers a comfortable and relaxing space for overdubbing, mixing, and editing. Room comes equipped with a great sounding 96 input API Legacy Plus console and a small live chamber. With the day rate, you have access to all the equipment in the building – quite an unbelievable deal. Private lounge and bathroom are also included.

Studio C
Overview
You won't believe the vibe in this studio. A perfect balance of art and function, this room's killer wood design provides an ideal setting for tracking, overdubbing, and mixing. Designed for stereo and multi-channel mixing by the master of sound, George Massenburg, this room won't disappoint. With a choice of DIGI Icon or Sony Oxford consoles and plenty of analog outboard gear to suit your needs, this studio gives you the perfect tools and the ideal environment for any project. The hip private lounge adorned in dark blue velvet can only be described as MTV Cribs-worthy.

Studio D
Overview
This grand studio is just that – grand! Warm surroundings and ample space provide enough room and inspiration for even the most ambitious of recording sessions. With seven recording spaces and three amp lockers, there is something for everyone. Red hanging lanterns illuminate the main room which features dark walnut floors, stone walls, interchangeable flutterfree panels, a 9' Baldwin piano, and a pair of S-4s flown from the ceiling for monitoring or reamping at any volume (S4 subs available). The studio also includes a huge Hidley-designed live chamber. A Trident Series 80 anchors the control room. With deep red velvet walls and brown leather couches, the lounge provides the perfect space for listening, eating, or just chillin' and offers views of the studio below.

Studio E
Overview
This is a workhorse studio with a warm, comfortable vibe. Ideal for overdubbing and mixing, this studio has a private recording space and a DIGI Icon console with 32 faders. The recording space features variable RPG panels, and the room comes with plenty of outboard gear. Mixing in the box is easy in this well-equipped space that also offers plenty of analog back end, if needed. Rental includes a stylish private lounge and bathroom.

Studio F
Overview
Cherry floors and trim give this space a killer vibe. Ideal for stereo or multichannel mixing with nothing but the best – ATC 300s LRC and ATC 150s LR/RR. You've got to hear it to believe it. An SSL 9080XL K Series console. Space includes a private lounge and bathroom. There's also a 2,000 square foot deck above the room if you need a breath of fresh air (see Birdhouse info).

Amenities
Every studio has it's own private lounge for you to hang out in and get away. We've also got a few other cool commen areas such as The Birdhouse, a caterer's kitchen, and a basketball half-court. In our upstairs area, you'll find Pinball machines, 80s style video games, as well as the Xbox 360 and Playstation2 consoles.

Birdhouse
Undoubtedly one of the most kick a** outdoor spaces in Nashville, the birdhouse is set to open in early 2007 offering an ideal place for launch parties, showcases, banquets, and just about anything else. This large upstairs patio provides ample room for 1 to 100 people. Pull the heavy curtains back to enjoy the beautiful Nashville weather or close them for a more intimate gathering when the weather is less than ideal. With a neutral tile flooring and arrangeable furniture, you can customize this space to meet any need. Perfect for any occasion. Party on Wayne!

Tracking/Recording
Whether it's strings, full tracks, or just a simple overdub, we have 2 large tracking studios and 2 overdub rooms to handle any of your needs.
Studio A and Studio D both have a great large tracking space with multiple isolation rooms. Both have a cool vibe as well as having a killer sound. While both rooms have their own live reverb chamber, Studio A's has a ceiling that can be raised or lowered to your liking.

Mixing/Editing
While you can mix in any of our 7 studios, we have 2 dedicated Mix rooms along with an Edit Suite. Both Mix rooms have 5.1 surround mixing capabilities.

Blackbird Audio Rentals is located in the Blackbird facility @ 2805 Bransford Ave.
Our inventory is the largest of it's kind, anywhere. We stock over 1000 microphones, and an incredible variety of outboard equipment spanning the history of audio recording. We offer all colors in the audio spectrum from numerous vintage items to the latest greatest cool gear. Tube, solid state, digital, tape...you name it, we're stocking it and updating the items available on a very regular basis.

About Us
After rebuilding Creative Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, John and Martina McBride launched the internationally renowned Blackbird Studio in August of 2002. Motivated to offer the highest quality recording experience for their clients, Blackbird Studio was designed with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, and in turn has been the studio of choice by artists ranging from Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jewel and Dolly Parton. In just a few years, the facilities now comprise seven studios, including the acclaimed Studio C designed by producer, recording engineer, audio equipment designer, and multiple Grammy award and TEC winner, George Massenburg.

Blackbird is located at the heart of Berry Hill, just minutes from Music Row. There are a great variety of award winning restaurants within walking distance.

Directions from the Airport
- Take I-40 West to I-24 East
- 1-24 East to I-440 West
- I-440 West to I-65 South (approximately 4 miles)
- Take the Armory Drive exit (#79) and follow the exit until you come to Powell Avenue.
- Turn RIGHT onto Powell Ave. and go approximately 1 mile north to Thompson Lane (you'll pass the theatre, on you're right, and Home Depot, on you're left)
- Go Straight thru the light at Thompson (it turns into Bransford Avenue)
- Blackbird on your left approximately 1/2 north of the Thompson lane intersection, 2805 Bransford Ave.
Another entrance to the studio is located on Azalea Place. To go to this entrance, stay on Bransford to West Iris/East Iris intersection (this is a traffic light). Turn left onto West Iris, go one block to Azalea and turn left. Blackbird is the third house on your left, 2806 Azalea Place.
